Have you ever been told that you have insufficient bone for dental implants ?

As a dental surgeon with many years of experience in implant dentistry, I have seen many cases where patients have struggled with poor bone quality and have been unable to receive the dental implant treatment they need. Yesterday, I had the privilege of treating a patient with this very problem, and I am happy to say that we were able to provide her with a solution that she thought was impossible.

The patient had come to me after having difficulty with her teeth for many years. She had lost several teeth and had been advised by her previous dental surgeon that she was not a candidate for traditional dental implants due to her poor bone quality. She was feeling hopeless and desperate for a solution that would restore her smile and her quality of life.

After conducting a thorough examination and taking various scans and x-rays, I determined that the patient was a candidate for zygomatic dental implants. Zygomatic dental implants are longer than traditional implants and are placed in the upper jawbone, which typically has better bone quality than the lower jawbone. This makes them an ideal option for patients with poor bone quality in the upper jaw.

The procedure itself is quite complex and requires a high level of skill and experience. It involves placing the implant into the zygomatic bone, which is located above the maxillary sinus. This bone is denser and stronger than the maxillary bone, which means that it can support the implant and provide a stable foundation for the replacement teeth.

After explaining the procedure to the patient and addressing any concerns she had, we scheduled her for the treatment. The procedure itself was performed under local anesthesia, and the patient was comfortable throughout. I used advanced techniques and equipment to ensure that the implant was placed accurately and precisely.

After the procedure, the patient was amazed at how easy the process was and how quickly she recovered. She was able to go home the same day and return to her normal activities within a few days.

I am happy to report that the patient is now on her way to a full recovery, and she will soon be able to enjoy her new smile and improved quality of life. This is just one example of how zygomatic dental implants can help patients who have been told that they are not candidates for traditional implants.

In conclusion, if you are a patient who has been struggling with poor bone quality and has been told that you are not a candidate for traditional dental implants, do not lose hope. Zygomatic dental implants are a viable and effective option, and with the help of a skilled and experienced dental surgeon, you too can have the smile you have always wanted.
